McLean is a strong, physically built guard with standout athleticism, as he consistently showcased his ability to put pressure on the rim. His explosiveness was evident on aggressive drives attacking closeouts, on the offensive glass, and in transition, where he converted on several above the rim finishes. McLean also displayed flashes of his perimeter shooting ability, knocking down shots off the catch to complement his powerful slashing game.
