Schams was the story of the first half, catching fire and completely flipping the game’s energy. He drilled five three pointers before halftime, pouring in 19 points and looking unstoppable in the process. Whether he was curling off screens or drifting into open space, he needed just a split second to rise and let it fly. His shooting stretched the defense to its limit. He finished with 21 points, but that first half explosion set the tone for his team

Schams is the type of player who instantly raises the level of everyone around him, and his impact has Windsor Charter looking like a real threat. Putting up 19.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists, he fills the stat sheet while making winning plays all over the floor. He’s a confident deep shooter who stretches defenses, lethal when he gets out in transition and explosive attacking the rack in big moments. Defensively he’s quick, smart and disruptive by jumping passing lanes, forcing turnovers and turning stops into points. What separates Schams is his feel for the game and his ability to swing momentum on both ends. He doesn’t just score but he changes games, and that two way impact is exactly why his stock continues to rise

Schams is off to a great start at Windsor Charter with 20.6 points, is a versatile player who impacts the game in every phase. He thrives on backdoor cuts, finds open looks as a shooter and plays tough, intelligent defense. Beyond his skills, Schams runs the floor with purpose, creating opportunities in transition and keeping the tempo high for his team. His ability to contribute in multiple ways on both ends makes him a go to player and someone defenses have to account for on every possession

Schams is built for downhill drives and transition buckets, and we are sure he will have plenty more of those heading into senior season, but he’s much more than a slasher. He averaged 16.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2 steals per game as a junior, demonstrating his ability to score from all three levels and make an impact on defense as well. He spaces the floor, cuts hard, and has a knack for reading passing lanes. That turned into fast break and highlight opportunities that got the crowd going. He made a jump in the rankings as a result. Schams looks poised to continue climbing if he builds on that momentum, and with a year with all eyes on him, don’t be too surprised if he raises the bar as well. 

Schams is a pure shooter if left open he’ll make you pay. He’s deadly from deep and has no hesitation when it’s time to score. What really stands out about his game is the effort he puts into getting to his spot on the floor—no one’s stopping him once he decides where he’s going. Schams excels at getting defenders to think he’s just hanging out beyond the arc, only to flash to the hoop for an easy bucket at the rim. It’s a move that catches defenders off guard every time

Schams has been excellent for Windsor Charter Academy, bringing efficient numbers from inside and out. At 6’2, the guard has great size to work with, supporting a 12-0 record for that program, he has taken the primary offensive role in stride. Getting notably stronger since last season, he has continued to round out his offensive game, leveraging the prior shooting gravity to create even wider openings around the rim. 

The lanky guard has repeatedly proven himself as one of the better pull-up shooters in this class, at his best in the mid-range. At roughly 6’2, he can contribute numerous pull-ups once the defense drops low enough. He continues to provide shotmaking out behind the arc, dependable off the catch. Tasked with a large role yet again for Windsor Charter Academy, Schams follows steady averages of 14.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game for the 3A program. 

Schams is a lanky, well rounded scorer from all three levels, effectively taking advantage of his opportunities within the offensive flow. Efficiently contributing kickout threes or making the right read following an opponent closeout, Schams slots into a wide range of lineups given his value on or off-ball. His decision making took a step up throughout the summer, getting more comfortable, as the game continued to slow down for the Windsor Charter guard.
