In 2023-24 Jones was a reserve for a deep ACC squad that won 21 games and captured the District 11-4A title. This fall has marked the beginning of his breakout stretch of play. At the Black Cager event he displayed a versatile skill set and extraordinary athleticism. Jones worked as a point guard, shooting guard and small forward. When he was the primary ball handler, Jones pushed the rock in transition for scores and assists. In the half-court he navigated his way past defenders off the dribble for lay-ins. At the two-guard spot he drained threes and slashed to the cup from the wing. Jones even flashed small forward skills as he scored off drop steps and worked the offensive glass for put backs through contact.
