Nelson was named to my all Dime Dropper team and he showed why on Saturday. He’s a pass first combo, who managed to repeateadly breakdown the defense with his handle. His unslefishness and skill allowed him to set up numerous teammates for easy buckets. Nelson was good at collapsing, getting paint touches and finding, or simply making the easy pass in transition.

The guard from Basic is one of the best passers in the class. He has a knack for finding the open man, doing so both stationary and off the bounce. One of the top combo’s in the class makes his way into the top 50.

Nelson is a player I’ll be evaluating very closely to see what level of prospect he is. He has good positional size, and a signature skill. The Washington transfer ran with Renton Select last season, but will have his options of local squads this year.

Saw Nelson last week and it took seconds to know I was going to add him to the list. An advanced passer, the junior guard is terrifc passing the ball from both a stationary position and off the bounce. He’s a creator with good PG size, that can deliver his share of jaw dropping passes.

He impressed right from the start. His ability to blow by, draw and dish was perhaps the most impressive I’ve seen all season. He’s got good positional size, and lean muscle in his upper frame which helped him navigate the lane and finish through contact around the bucket.
