About Aleu

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a versatile, downhill scorer with guard skills in a forward’s body. I can attack mismatches off the bounce, finish through contact, score in the post, and knock down open shots. I play with high energy on both ends, rebound my position, defend multiple spots, and push the pace in transition.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m disciplined, resilient, and competitive. I take pride in outworking others and staying locked in regardless of my role or minutes. I embrace adversity, stay coachable, and bring consistent energy and focus every day. I’m confident in my game, but always hungry to improve.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’ve been involved in community service through my school while living in Uganda, where we helped organize donations of clothing and supplies to a village impacted by environmental dumping. This experience helped shape my perspective and responsibility beyond basketball.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed leadership through effort and accountability—being vocal on defense, encouraging teammates, and staying engaged whether I’m on the court or on the bench. I understand team roles, play unselfishly, and prioritize winning. My community service experience in Uganda strengthened my empathy, teamwork, and sense of giving back.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes. I faced multiple challenges, including time away from organized basketball while living abroad, adjusting back to a higher level of competition, and returning from injury. I had to rebuild my conditioning, timing, and confidence while earning trust within a competitive program. Those experiences taught me patience, discipline, and how to stay focused on long-term growth rather than short-term

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with a strong basketball culture that values development, discipline, and accountability. I want a program that pushes me to grow as a two way player, competes every day, and believes in earning roles through work. Academics matter to me as well I want to be in an environment that prepares me for life beyond basketball while helping me reach my full potential on the court
