About Aj

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Controlled Guard, with a high IQ, intense defense and elite shooting abilities. Can finish at the rim and around bigger defenders. 3 and D guard at the next level and can run an offense if needed. Energy player that will put his body on the line to win and an exceptional teammate.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Intense energy filled player with unshakeable confidence but still modest. Ultimate competitor and will never back down from a challenge. Always created a high intensity filled gym with aggressive defense and timely energy depending on the situation. Can create energy and sets the defensive tone.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yeah, I’m in the national honors society so I have to do some service hours for that.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership has grown because as a captain, we started 2-7 and I had to hold guys to standard which allowed me to find a way to get the most out of my guys. This helped us completely turn around our season and it was a special group I’ll never forget. I learned how each player worked whether it was being hard on a player or encouraging a player to help get their best everyday.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yeah, we started 2-7, and it got to a point where it was like, it’s over unless something changes. We had the best turnaround I’ve ever been apart of and beat some of the best teams in the state and went a nice playoff run. It was pretty cool to be in a life or death situation and just battle back and turn surviving to thriving.

What type of college are you looking for?

Any college that will take me whether as a walk on, or a player. I don’t care where, I just want to stay around the game because I have so much love for it, love to compete, and put in so much work to let it end here. I would love to go anywhere.
