Shelton has been on a tear this season as one of the most improved players in the state and he didn’t let up last night. After a deceivingly slow start, Shelton took over and scored all 17 of his points in the 2nd half of the contest. Not to mention pulling down a game-high 15 rebounds. In an absolutely loaded 7th Region, Shelton might be the best kept secret heading into the post season.

Manual has had a really good season thus far largely due to the production of Ahmad Shelton Ahmad Shelton 6'3" | SF DuPont Manual | 2026 State KY . As one of the most underrated seniors in Louisville, he is a double-double machine for the Crimsons, leading them in both PPG (13.9) and RPG (12.3). His contributions are as efficient as they are effective, evidenced by his 65.6% shooting from the field and 41.7% shooting from behind the arc.

I liked watching Manual because of how scrappy they play. Shelton is a prime example as a wing who just flat out competed on both ends. Shelton had a layup from the dunker spot and a couple off second chance opportunities. Shelton had some strong rebounds over taller players and wasn’t shying away from contact at all. This Manual team is more than the sum of their parts and its because of guys like Shelton who do the dirty work as well as score the basketball at a high level.
