-Easily my most impressive new find of the week as the sophomore prospect stood out as a name to know right away. Brown started things off with a steal and dunk, passed out of a jumper to hit a cutting teammate under the rim for an easy layup, worked hard to get a good seal and and1 lay on the block, hit a spinning jumper in the paint, and served as an effective free safety in full court defensive schemes to collect steals when his opponent tried to throw it over the top. Brown’s handle is pretty good for his size and he uses a strong frame to buck opponent’s out of his way on drives to the rim or absorb contact on the defensive end of the floor while holding his position against taller opponents. His ability to play almost every position at either end of the floor should serve as an effective buoy for a young Dunbar team that has turned heads in the area with their play this season. That passing of the torch was embodied when the sophomore hit a huge corner three (video found here) off the assist from his senior PG after Brown knocked down the game-tying bucket two possessions earlier to bring his team all the way back (found here).
