Abe is one of those players you simply cannot leave open beyond the arc. He’s not going to blow by you with explosive athleticism or flashy handles, but if you give him too much space he’s going to put three points on the board. Last night he did just that on multiple occasions, including the go-ahead three with under a minute to play that sealed the victory for Southwest. Abe is always ready to catch and shoot off the ball, and has range that extends to well beyond the high school three point line. Thought he did a nice job of communicating on the floor with his teammates as well.

Abe Anderson is a five-foot-eleven-inch guard from Minneapolis Southwest and played AAU with Starks Elite . Andersen uses craftiness and quickness to make up for lack of size around the rim to finish off lay-ups. Can make shots from the outside, and is traditional in the sense at point guard.

Abe went on a run in the second half that had Starks Elite right in it with a very good Minnesota Select team. He’s the type of player that can heat up in a hurry, and his ability to fire off shots from way beyond the high school arc seems to catch defenders off guard at times. If he catches and gets his feet squared just about anywhere within 30 feet, there’s a chance Abe will let it fly and put 3 points on the board. Starks Elite was trailing by double figures, but Abe shot his team back into the game and got the deficit down to below five at one point. Finished with 21 points in the loss.
