impacted the game on both ends. He was scoring both on the ball and off the ball, by hitting three point shots and driving through contact at the basket. I also liked his mid range step back buckets and aggressive defense.

Reinertson was fantastic for Lawrence Academy against a tough St. Paul’s team on Saturday. The 6-foot-2 combo guard showed a beautiful-looking outside stroke (and from VERY deep), which he was able to shoot both coming off screens and in catch and shoot situations. He also drove closeouts consistently and had a myriad of excellent finishes at the hoop over the trees; he’s so difficult to keep off his line when getting to the rim because of his strength and balance. He’s just such a fundamentally sound player who should have a really nice year with Lawrence Academy, a stacked team that should turn heads.

One of the more impressive shooters in the class, Reinertson had a strong showing this winter at Lawrence Academy. Always shot ready on the catch, he has a high release point and a quick and compact shot from behind the arc. While the shooting is the top skill right now, he’s a high IQ guard that makes good decisions with the ball in his hands. He’s a willing passer, instinctive cutter, and does a good job of finding open passing lanes off the ball. Defensively, he always seems to be in the right position, isn’t afraid to give up his body, and does a good job guarding without fouling.

is a strongly built lead guard who plays smart and solid basketball. With the ball in his hands, he makes good decisions and finds open teammates on the block, and notices perimeter shooters. Reinertson can score in various ways, headlined with a quick flick of the wrist jump shot from downtown. He can shoot well beyond the arch too with a wide and consistent base. Reinertson also has skills off the bounce with a pretty floater game and even some post-work ability. He competes on the defensive end and anticipates well for turnovers. Reinertson’s floor is super high and is already solid at the important parts of the game. He should be a very popular target for coaches and programs in the future.
