#46 Jadon Wilson Jadon Wilson 6'4" | SF Richmond Christian | 2022 VA | 6’3” WF | Richmond Christian
Wilson is an under the radar name in the Richmond area that’s very intriguing when you watch him. The first thing you notice is that he needs to get his body right, however when you watch him play you have to be impressed with his savvy and skill set offensively. He’s a three level scorer that finishes through contact, can make shots off the bounce and hits the glass hard as well.
#50 George Cutler IV George Cutler IV 6'1" | PG Cape Henry Collegiate | 2022 State VA | 5’11” PG | Cape Henry
There are a lot of good players on Cape that all return next year after earning a 5 seed and making it to the VISAA D1 quarterfinals, and the sleeper of the group may be Cutler. The sophomore PG is extremely shifty off the bounce with a tight handle, he’s extremely quick and changes directions well and all of that allows him to break guys down and create out of isolation situations very well.
#52 Nate Pabis Nate Pabis 6'5" | SF Flint Hill | 2023 State VA | 6’3” WF | Flint Hill
Pabis is a guy in the DMV that is known by many for one reason, and that’s because he can absolutely shoot the cover off the basketball. He needs to work on his body to get in better shape and get quicker but he has a quick release with great balance and form, he has deep range and he rarely goes through cold streaks no matter how long he goes between shooting the rock.
#53 Henry Sullivan Henry Sullivan 6'6" | PF Western Albemarle | 2022 State VA | 6’6” PF | Western Albemarle
It seems like every year I’ve been scouting Western Albemarle has some big and skilled kid, and this year they had 3 with Sullivan being the one in the middle. He’s a throw back style big man that can score with his back to the basket, he protects the paint and has great timing as a shot blocker and he’s always coming up with a loose ball or keeping a play alive on the glass as well.
#56 Zach Bolgert Zach Bolgert 6'7" | PF Fairfax Christian School | 2022 State VA | 6’7” PF | Fairfax Christian
Bolgert makes his debut in the rankings after he was a big reason that Fairfax Christian was one of the top VISAA D3 schools in the state. The 6’7” big is an inside-out threat who can face up and score in the post, he can stretch the defense with his ability to step out behind the arc and shoot it and he’s a big time rebounder who pursues the basketball both in and out of his area.
#61 Connor Dubsky | 6’2” WG | Bishop O’Connell
Dubsky is part of a young O’Connell team that had their ups and downs but when he got his opportunities he made the most of them and played within his role nicely. The 6’2” wing is a lights out shooter from deep with great form and a perfect release, he moves well without the basketball to get open and it almost always looks good when he lets it go.
#64 Amari Bailey Amari Bailey 6'4" | PF Varina | 2022 State VA | 6’3” PF | Varina
An undersized big man that played a very important role in Varina’s success this year, Bailey was the blue collar paint enforcer despite not being the tallest guy on the team. He’s a bulldozer in the paint who has no problem getting physical on either end, he rebounds and keeps plays alive regularly and he always seemed to come up his biggest in the most important games for them.
#65 Lorenzo Nichols Lorenzo Nichols 5'9" | PG Virginia Academy | 2022 State VA | 5’9” PG | Stonewall Jackson
Stonewall has had a string of very successful and talented point guards over the past five or so years and Nichols looks like he’s the next one up. He’s a throwback style guard that is a pass first guy who can break down defenders with his shiftiness and tight handle, he’s a one man press break that controls the tempo well and he’s always able to find his shooters and bigs after breaking down and reading the defense.
#66 Darrel Johnson Darrel Johnson 6'6" | PF Highland | 2023 State VA | 6’4” PF | Patriot
Johnson is a guy who worked his way into the starting lineup for Patriot and just continued to work and get better as the season went along. He’s a workhorse in the paint who’s very strong for his age and finishes well through traffic, he gets after it on both ends of the floor and gets a lot of points off of offensive rebounds and dump offs where he stays ready to catch and finish.
