Mike Carson, 6’4, F, 2021, JC Harmon
Carson is a strong and powerful forward for Harmon who looks to contribute as a rebounder and scoring option. He is aggressive and physical and can body up opponents and box him out. He’s averaging 12.6 points and 10 rebounds and adds at least one steal per game. He’s shooting 69 percent from the floor and can connect from the free throw line as well. He doesn’t look to score from 3-point range, but has the ability to connect on occasion.
Devin Junghans, 5’9, G, 2021, Salina South
Junghans is it strong guard for Salina who can score, create opportunities for his teammates and hustles on defense. He is active both on and off the ball and shows good movement and Scrappy play. He’s currently averaging 13.3 points, four assists and 3.3 rebounds per game. He’s hitting 45 percent from the field, 87 percent from the free throw line, hitting 13-15.
Isaac Koppang, 6’3, G, 2021, Kansas City East
In eight games this season, Koppang is averaging more than 22 points and 13.9 rebounds per game while shooting 67 percent from the field. Koppang is at his best attacking the basket whether it’s off the dribble in the post or putting back offensive rebounds. While he doesn’t get a lot of attention playing for one of the Kansas City area’s top homeschool programs, he has shown the ability to play above the rim and score in transition.
Lonell, Lane, 6’0, PG, 2021, JC Harmon
An elite point guard with great handles and the ability to play above the rim. Lane has great vision and explosive athleticism that sets him apart from the competition. He can score in a variety of ways, both from three-point range and mid-range, and is a nightmare in one-on-one situations. He’s averaging 19 points, 5.6 assists, 4.2 rebounds and close to three steals per game. A player shooting 59 percent from the field.
Parker Stone, 6’1, G, 2021, Perry-Lecompton
A summer stock riser for the Kansas Cagers, stone is showing terrific leadership skills and the ability to create for his teammates and put them in a position to score. He looks to score himself and does so well, averaging a team-high 15.6 points per game. Stone is shooting 53 percent from the field and has hit an impressive 21-21 from the free throw line. He’s also averaging 58 percent from 3-point range. Stone adds 2.2 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game as well.
