The defending back to back state champions Gray Collegiate War Eagles have reloaded with more talent. Lets take a look at which players will be back this season after making the SCBCA All State Team last season.
John ButlerJohn Butler – Christ Church (Greenville)
Butler is the top ranked player in the 2021 Palmetto State Class. Butler 7’0 has received offers from several schools this season. Butler holds offers Florida, Florida State, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Tennessee and St Louis University. Butler has the ability to play face-up and extend the defense with his outside shooting. Butler alters plenty of shots in the paint with his great length.
Dallan WrightDallan Wright – Saluda HS
Wright is currently playing football right now for the Tigers. Wright 6’2 a 4 year varsity player holds a offer from Nicholls State University. Wright played on the Carolina Pressure this past Grassroots Circuit. Prep Hoops first saw Wright play when he was a freshman at Saluda HS.
Darjawuan BrownDarjawuan Brown – North Charleston HS (pictured on the front)
Brown can really score the ball for the Cougars and Head Coach Chris Brown. Brown averaged 26.1 ppg last season and played with Low Country Elite on the Grassroots Circuit this summer. Brown a senior really likes to have the ball in his hands whenever possible.
Michael ShulerMichael Shuler – Woodland HS (St George)
Shuler is a virtual unknown playing in the Low Country. Shuler is a pest on the floor and is just a junior for the Wolverines. Shuler plays for Head Coach Leon Wheaton. Woodland HS is located in Dorchester County just north of Summerville 22 miles.
Latavian LawrenceLatavian Lawrence – Gray Collegiate
Lawrence made the All-State last season while attending then Silver Bluff HS. Lawrence transferred over to the War Eagles this off season. Lawrence a small forward is NOT playing football like many people thought he would do at Gray Collegiate. Lawrence informed Prep Hoops about that decision a few weeks back.
Demetric HardinDemetric Hardin – Lewisville HS (Richburg)
Hardin is a very versatile player who is currently playing football for the Lions. Hardin played this summer with the Carolina Pressure . Hardin 6’3 senior has great length from the point guard position.
