Jake Lifgren – PHX Soldiers – Centennial
Lifgren gets a nod here because just two weeks ago he shot lights-out at a tournament in the same location. The Soldiers were very close to lifting the championship trophy, and his threes in clutch moments were a big factor in keeping the final game close. Expect more of the same here.
DeAndre Henry – PAL – PHH Prep
Henry’s recruiting has blown up this summer, and even since his last season ended at Mountain Pointe. He is a strong, tall kid with good footwork that can score, rebound and defend near the basket. If he plays in this tournament, like the roster says, he could be dominant.
Basil Ribakare – AimHigh Elite – Brophy Prep
Every time I see Basil play, he seems to be making plays near the hoop. He can score from the post, rebounds well on both ends of the court, and plays solid rim protecting defense. In a past tournament at this facility, he found himself in some foul trouble in a crucial game, but if he can stay on the floor he could be solid.
Jason Parent – 928 Hotshots – Prescott
Parent had an impressive freshman season for the Badgers in a pretty tough division. He averaged nearly 12 points and 5 rebounds, and will look to show off how he’s improved over the summer and since the season in this tournament.
