September 19th-20th I attended the AOG National Showcase powered by Ryan Silver in California at the MAP facility. There were many top programs who attended including multiple top-25 teams in the West. 3 teams from our state competed and here were some of the standouts I viewed.

[player_tooltip player_id='2689934' first='Braden' last='Baldwin'] Arcadia (Pictured)

An athletic scoring guard does a little bit of everything to help his team. He is an outstanding leaper to rebound and score with offensive rebound put backs and will play way above the rim for dunks. He will hit the three off the catch and make a play with drives and kicks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2960993' first='Dalen' last='Felder'] Phhoenix Prep

One of the better shooters in the senior class seems automatic at times. He loves the corner threes with a quicker trigger and a clean stroke. He will also pull up from mid-range, dunk it on the break with some improving bounce and make plays for his teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='2115124' first='DJ' last='Childs'] Phhoenix Prep

A wing forward can do a little bit of everything for the prep team. He is a high level dunker, rebounder and shot blocker. He runs the floor better than most and will score with catch threes, get baseline and use the floater or score with a nice layup package. A potential long term 3 and D type.

[player_tooltip player_id='3028941' first='Ja'Mere' last='Jones'] Phhoenix Prep

A transfer from Apollo is an athletic defensive scoring guard. He is a top-notch on-ball defender with quick feet, hands and bounce. He is a capable three point shooter who likes getting downhill and getting out in transition. He plays above the rim on the break.

[player_tooltip player_id='2396185' first='Zathan' last='Ruffin'] Phhoenix Prep

A versatile bigger guard or wing forward is a stat machine. He is a natural downhill player who is a catch and shoot three point type. He has really improved his three-ball and consistency. He is a top end defender collecting steals and many deflections each game. He will fill up the stat sheet with points, rebounds, assists and blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323611' first='Jerrance' last='Howard'] Phhoenix Prep

A strong framed point guard is the son of a college coach who simply knows how to play. He makes smart reads with up the court ropes, drives and kicks and guides the team. He will score with tough downhill takes in traffic, mid-range pull-ups and threes.

[player_tooltip player_id='3354402' first='Jalen' last='Knighton'] Arcadia

An athletic and highly skilled scoring point guard. He will hit the three with some serious range with a quick trigger and smartly plays off of two-feet and will make a play or score it in the lane. He uses his athleticism to rebound and even block shots. When he is firing away, he takes a lot of pressure off the seniors.

[player_tooltip player_id='2716510' first='Spencer' last='Goldberg'] Arcadia

A skilled wing forward is the baby Joker of the team. This is what they jokingly call him, but he is very cerebral and skilled and a fantastic passer. He throws players open threading the needle and always makes the correct read and never forces the issue. He will score with threes off the catch and offensive rebound put backs.

[player_tooltip player_id='3354660' first='Tyson' last='Delano'] Arcadia

A bigger combo guard who moves the ball like you should and can play the one or two in a pinch. He will score with ball fakes inside and go up and manages to get to his spots with his handle and long strides. He will hit the corner three, get on the glass and earn trips to the free throw line.
