September 19th-20th I attended the AOG National Showcase powered by Ryan Silver in California at the MAP facility. There were many top programs who attended including multiple top-25 teams in the West. 3 teams from our state competed and here were some of the standouts I viewed.

Part 1

[player_tooltip player_id='2870823' first='Jaxon' last='Alloway'] Arcadia

A newcomer for me is a bigger sized scoring guard who is a catch and shoot three point type with a nice looking stroke. He can also score it in the lane and move the ball like you should. He makes his money on the defensive end and plays the right way.

[player_tooltip player_id='2413544' first='Boie' last='Gomo'] Phhoenix Prep Hood

A bigger scoring guard is hyper athletic and defends and can play multiple positions. He scores it with high flying dunks on the break, perimeter jumpers from mid to the three and he will ball fake and kiss it off the glass.

[player_tooltip player_id='1543533' first='Jordan' last='Green'] Phhoenix Prep

The Fresno State commit is an active forward who can play either position up front. He is a plus athlete and will score with threes off the catch, quick rip thrus and seems to live in the mid-range area with pull-ups. He moves well in space and is a tough match-up.

[player_tooltip player_id='2164464' first='William' last='Heinrichs'] Arcadia

A scoring guard plays an important role with that secondary ball handler at times and he is another who will shoot it from the three point line. He will score it with offensive rebound put backs as he gets position boxing out and earning trips to the free throw line.

[player_tooltip player_id='2146268' first='Brock' last='Knee'] Arcadia

A bigger scoring guard with an almost automatic shooting stroke with deep three point range. When he is rolling from deep, he is hard to contain setting his feet and letting it fly. He will also score with fall aways from mid-range and rebounds well in his area. He probably averaged 5+ triples over the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='3773547' first='Carmelo' last='Mason'] Phhoenix Prep

A strong framed wing forward is a big time shooter from Alaska who was one of the best three point shooters I viewed off the catch. He loves the corners and moves smartly off the ball and he will make sharp cuts to the basket. He is a very good rebounder throwing his body around and just knows how to play. He was Mr. Alaska.

[player_tooltip player_id='3773549' first='Ari' last='Moulieris'] Phhoenix Prep

A decent sized combo guard who can play on or off the ball. He can serve as the backup point guard and then slide over to the off guard spot. He is a knockdown three point shooter off the catch and has a consistent stroke. The Australian native is very cerebral and moves the ball like you should.

[player_tooltip player_id='2321481' first='Amen' last='Pressley'] Phhoenix Prep

A true PG is almost a rare throw back these days. The lefty has good size and is athletic with a tight handle and a pass-first type. He is always getting into the paint and sucking in the defense and then finding a teammate. He is also a top of the food chain on-ball defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='3765268' first='Chase' last='Robertson'] Phhoenix Prep Hood

One of the biggest point guards in the class and in the entire state for that matter who makes players around him better. He defends multiple positions and will rebound and block shots. He uses hesitations and bursts to get past his initial defender to score and will dunk it on the break. He will also hit the three off the catch or pull. His recruitment is picking up quickly.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956209' first='Ruben' last='White'] Phhoenix Prep (Pictured)

A strong framed power forward who is slowly becoming a face-up type. He will control the glass and rebound well plus block shots at a high clip. He will score with hook shots, dunks in traffic, offensive rebound put backs and threes off the catch with an improved stroke.
