Below we reveal five local class of 2020 prospects who stood out among the rest.
JORDAN BRATHWAITE | 6’6 F | GLENELG COUNTRY
These past few months have been quite productive for Brathwaite. The main takeaway from his performance over the weekend was how hard he played on every possession. Brathwaite used his athleticism to his advantage and thrived as a result.
ARNARDO CAMACHO | 6’3 G | NATIONAL CHRISTIAN
Camacho set the tone on the defensive side of the ball by applying tremendous pressure on the ball and denying his man extremely well in help side situations. On the offensive side, he showcased outstanding court vision and strong ball-handling skills.
NATE LACEY | 6’4 SF | SHERWOOD
Lacey is a blue-collar wing who showed that he can make things difficult for opponents with his length on the defensive side of the ball. He was constantly active and alert off the ball and looked to get out and run in transition whenever the opportunity presented itself.
ISHMAEL LEGGETT | 6’3 G | ST. JOHN’S
One of the more highly touted unsigned senior prospects in attendance, Leggett showcased various aspects of his overall game on Saturday. He got downhill with regularity, finished well in traffic, was a presence on the glass, and played solid team defense.
WOODY NEWTON | 6’8 F | MT. ZION PREP
Newton used his length to his advantage, especially defensively where he rebounded it well but also recorded several blocks and deflections. He will undoubtedly be a great fit in the Syracuse zone upon graduation.
