16U 1st Team
James Dent (Capital City Teamwork/All-In Athletics)
Dent was dynamic not on just one PHC team, but two! Early in the spring he continued his momentum from Springfield Southeast with huge scoring games for Capital City Teamwork. That continued as the circuit went along with All-In. Rangy two guard that is elite perimeter shooter and scorer!
Jaiden Lee (Illinois T-Wolves)
Lee has a chance to be one of the best 2021wings in the state. He has a long and lanky frame at 6’4”. Plus shooter with a quick release. His ball handling made major strides which allowed him to score in a wider variety of ways.
Aaron McQueen (Illinois Jaguars)
McQueen was a huge reason for the Jaguars success on the PHC. He is a tough and gritty power forward that was so active on the interior. Love the way this kid rebounds the ball and has a knack for being around the ball!
Darrell Reed (Young & Reckless Brim)
This TF North post went from unknown in January to one of the better posts in the 2021 class. He gained more confidence with Young & Reckless as the summer went along. By the time July hit he was dominant on the boards and throwing down monster dunks!
Odin Lium (HIT)
Lium is a skilled and athletic three man that we tabbed preseason as a breakout candidate and he did just that! Effortless scorer that got buckets from all three levels. Lium has so much upside on the wing!
16U 2nd Team
Ola Ajiboye (Team RWA)
Ajiboye’s best basketball is certainly ahead of him. Long and rangy power forward that rebounds well, protects the rim, and rim runs in transition. His offensive game continues to round out including a nice looking mid-range jumper.
Isaiah Stafford (Young & Reckless Jeremy)
Stafford had his breakout event in Indy at Havoc in the Heartland. He is a high level shot maker that has a feathery jumper from all-around the floor. Won MVP of that event in a breakout performance!
Ethyn Brown (Southwest Jets)
Brown was the leader of the Jets. The Belleville East point guard got others involved throughout the PHC. He has an innate ability to both get others involved while still scoring at a high level.
Shane Miller (Capital City Teamwork)
Miller put his team on his back with only five guys and carried them to the final four in St. Louis back in May. The good sized point guard has a feel for the game dishing the rock and getting downhill with force.
Julius Rollins (Young & Reckless Brim)
Rollins is a versatile combo forward who can score from the mid-range in. Quick to the offensive glass and played above the rim. Like the defensive qualities he provides with his ability to switch on multiple spots.
