Kiran Oliver – Shadow Ridge
Oliver was great today from all spots on the floor, and had the dunk of the day with a two-handed jam that set the Stallions up for success throughout their first game of the weekend. He also hit some jumpers, including a few 3’s, when he found himself the space to get the shots off.
Prince Nshuti – Camelback
He played effectively in the half-court, but his most effective scoring came off his defense. Whether getting a steal himself and dribbling to the basket for layups, or deflecting balls and running in transition for an outlet pass, he made scoring look easy without having to do anything flashy.
Jahan Nethridge – Thunderbird
A lot of players are just starting to get back into the groove off how they play with teammates early in the summer season, but it appeared he understood his role right off the bat, simply scoring a lot of points. He was hitting jumpers, scoring layups and getting to the line whenever he had the ball in his hands.
Omar Rodriguez – Sierra Linda
Linda did not end up with a lot of points, but he flashed some skill at the end of the game when he started being more assertive with less to lose. He hit a few good mid-rangers, and if he keeps playing like that for full games it will be tough on opponents.
