Totally looks the part along with quality athleticism. Has a nice feel for the game and is a plus passer with the ability to find teammates in the open floor as well as dish it off on the interior in the half court. Explosive off the bounce slashing to the basket where he is slippery through traffic getting to the rim. Powerful finishing at the paint. Displayed an improving jump shot. Really competes and has a passion for the game. Should be monitored by LM programs.
Heckard spoke about playing with Hoops4Health 16U in July.
“It is going real good. We have played a lot of good teams and beat a lot of good teams.”
What are the strengths in his game?
“I would say I am an attacker. I can shoot off the dribble. I am a good passer and can rebound.”
He is looking forward to growing with his young, but talented Romeoville team this year.
“I think we are going to do real good. I think we if we work hard we can win a regional championship.”
Heckard holds offers from Bethune Cookman and Coppin State.
