Harrod is a crafty guard who looks to pick his spots at the offensive end of the court. He says he likes to drive and finish or kick the ball out to an open teammate, but also knock down an open 3 when open.
“I’m am very reliable as a ball handler I can dribble through a press if I need to,” he says. “I’m quick off my first step and I lead people with my hesitation and my quick between the legs.”
Harrod says he is spending the offseason working on improving his playmaking skills while he runs with Grind Elite.
A fan of James Harden and Russell Westbrook, Harrod says both players have helped influence his own game.
“My teammates say I play like them and I like how they play their with a chip on their shoulder,” Harrod says. “And that’s how I play.”
Harrod says he also enjoys watching college basketball where the intensity is often dialed up a notch.
“I prefer college because the players show discipline on the court,” he says. “And when I watch professional the players are lazy and show bad habits on the court. I try to watch Cassius Winston play because my trainer says I have the same game as him and need to learn from him.”
