2020 Terrell Burden | Georgia Stars
Burden led Georgia Stars with 20 points in a win over Howard Pulley on Saturday. It was an efficient 20 as he shot 7/11 from the field. Burden can knock it down from midrange and shoot it from deep. I liked how he got up and down the floor as he is super quick and explosive where he can get past a lot of people. Known for scoring the ball in bunches, that was fully on display this past weekend.
2020 Earl Timberlake | Team Durant
I have been watching Earl for a long time now so I know what he is capable of doing. Now the outsiders are being able to see what post of the local media has been seeing. Timberlake took over games for Team Durant this past weekend doing what he does best, which is attacking the basket. He is so strong, he is able to muscle pretty much anyone to the basket. His shot has become another major aspect of his game. There are not too many other players that I saw this weekend that plays as hard as Timberlake and I truly believe blue blood programs are starting to take notice.
2020 Ziaire Williams | Oakland Soldiers
Living in DC, I do not got to see a lot of prospects from California play but I made sure to evaluate Williams this past weekend as he is a hot commodity. He is extremely active on and off the ball standing at 6’8. In the 18 minutes I watched of him, he hit three triples and a long jumper right inside of the three point line. He had a tremendous pass to an open teammate right under the basket when he was driving and drew a double team. NBA scouts are already talking about this kid and I see what the hype is about as he is one of the most active and productive players on the court that I saw this past weekend.
2020 Dontrez Styles | Team CP3
Styles certainly passes the eye test when you see him on the court. Styles is currently our 2nd ranked prospect in the class of 2021 in North Carolina and he is already turning heads on the 17U EYBL circuit. Styles was catching the ball right under the rim and is sued his strength to finish with some powerful dunks multiple times on Saturday. There was not much stopping Styles when he was going at you with the ball in his hands.
2020 Mark Williams | Boo Williams
When I saw Mark William in the TCIS tournament, I said to myself, “Okay, Mark has officially turned the corner.” Well, I caught myself saying that again this weekend. His motor has improved drastically and looks so much more into the game. He was constantly backing down his defender to get the ball, calling for the ball, he hit some mid range jumpers, finished everything at the rim, rebounded and blocked some shots on defense. All of these efforts allowed him to receive an offer from Duke on Sunday morning.
