Ben Palacios 6’4″ Marcus Denmon Elite: This young man is a pleasure to watch on the offensive end he has the skill set to score at all three levels, but he is also very good at playing without the basket and getting buckets. Not a lot of players can do both. He has good size and handles and he can shoot the 3-pointer with consistency and get his buckets off the drive. He is always under control and never seems to be flustered on the court. Atttends St. Michael’s.
Kobe Clark 6’6″ Gateway: An excellent all-purpose prospect who can play virtually every position on the floor. Love his size and versatility. He is capable of playing the point guard role because he is a good ball handler and a sound decision maker. His size gives him a big advantage on the perimeter. He was one of the best, if not the best offensive rebounder that I watched during the weekend. He really attacks the boards and will get out of his area. He has plenty of interest from a number of Division I schools. Attends Vashon.
Harrison Vickers 6’5″ Gateway: Another versatile performer who is so valuable with his ability to do multiple things to help his team win basketball games. He is a very capable handler who dropped several nice dimes over the weekend. He was very tough to stop when he got downhill on the way to the basket as he finished well at the rim. He is also an excellent rebounder at both ends of the floor. Attends Chaminade.
Devon Barshow 6’6″ Arsenal Hoops: A slender young wing player who started to emerge as a consistent threat at the end of the high school season at Marquette. He plays with a lot of confidence with the ball in his hands with his ability to handle the ball and knock down 3-pointers on a consistent basis. He has good size and length and his game continues to grow with each week. He is one year young for his class, so his upside is pretty high.
Adam Sommer 6’3″ Arsenal Hoops: A physically strong performer who is very comfortable at the wing or handling the ball as a point guard. He has excellent size and a solid set of skills with the ball. His 3-point shooting was very good and he can also get to his spots on the floor to knock down jumpers in the mid-range. I also like his passing ability as well.
Breven McMullen 6’5″ Gateway: The big wing player did a nice job knocking down open jumpers off the catch. He has done an excellent job of developing his overall game since his freshman year. He could always shoot it, but he has evolved into an all-around offensive player who can shoot it, handle it and score in the low post.
Sofara Rasas 6’4″ Arsenal Hoops: A slashing wing player who is coming off an excellent junior year in which he helped the St. Mary’s to the Class 4 state finals. He is very active on both ends of the court and is an excellent finisher in the transition game. He is a good ball handler who is very comfortable with the ball in his hands. His perimeter shooting is also improving.
