Here are some of the scorers that stood out:
Tanner Poeschl – FMD – Skyline
Poeschl put on a dunk clinic, especially in the first day during pool play. There was seemingly nobody that could keep him away from the hoop, where he used his big frame and leaping ability to consistently get to the hoop and throw down great slams.
Max Faeth – AZ Legends – Corona del Sol
His offensive contribution was simple but effective: get to the basket. He made smart cuts when teammates were dribbling, and when he had the ball he put his head down and dribbled to the hoop. From there, his layups were falling and he had a few nice and-one finishes.
Polite Peterson – Dukes – Crestview
Peterson played with seemingly-endless energy. He was consistently the first one down the floor after a rebound, and kept attacking the basket when other players were getting tired near the end of games. He used his athleticism to hit tough layups and also hit a few nice jumpers.
