Trent Brown 6’2 SG 2019 Pinnacle
Brown is primarily a guard and shares the backcourt with Mannion. However, due to Mannion’s proficient play in the backcourt, Brown gets to spend a lot of time playing on the wing. He has excelled greatly in this role. He has been injured and is looking to get back for the first round. Brown is a huge part of Pinnacle’s offense and will be welcomed back with open arms.
Osasere Ighodaro 6’9 SF/PF 2020 Desert Vista
Ighodaro was thrust into a much bigger role due to various circumstances. He has shined and played high level basketball. He is the longest and has the most upside out of any of the wings that are left in the state tournament.
While he is only a junior, Ighodaro has a bright future and could be an even bigger impact player next year. With that said, expect him to make some noise this year at the state tournament.
Zach Hobbs 6’4 SG/SF 2019 Mesa
Hobbs has been one of the top wings in the state over the past couple of seasons. He is a knock down shooter from deep who provides Mesa with good length at the 2/3 spot. Mesa is not favored, according to the rankings. However, with Hobbs, they have a chance to pull off an upset and make noise in the state tournament.
J’Saan Strover 6’4 SF 2019 Mountain Pointe
Strover’s role has gotten bigger and bigger throughout the course of this season. With Graham missing games, he has been relied upon even more.
He provides the time with versatility and a secondary scoring threat. With Graham back in the lineup, Strover might see a decrease in production, but he will still play a vital role in any success this team has in the state tournament.
Kyle Patterson 6’6 SF 2019 Perry
While Patterson has made quite a name for himself on the football field, he has had plenty of success on the basketball court during his four years of high school. After transferring from Gilbert Christian, Patterson has become a key contributor in both sports.
Patterson brings a motor and physicality that is much needed for this team. His toughness enables him to win many 50/50 possessions and create opportunities for himself as well as his teammates.
Keaton Rodgers 6’4 SF 2019 Sandra Day
Rodgers has successfully made the transition from a post player to a wing. He still does damage on the block, but the expansion of his game has made him more versatile and difficult to guard.
Rodgers is not shooting it as well as he would like from deep, but he is averaging about one three per game. Rodgers will be the prominent prospect for Sandra Day in their first round match-up.
