PG Jonathan Norfleet (Team Loaded)
Jonathan displayed a nice blend of poise and explosiveness at the lead guard spot for Team Loaded. He’s a very efficient mid-range shooter off the bounce, and uses a quick burst to blow by defenders in the open court. He’s a great rebounder for a guard, given his leaping ability and strong hands. He’s a reliable playmaker who enjoys finding his shooters in transition. The stock of the powerfully built 6-foot-2 guard is trending up. He will more than likely end up running the show at a division 1 school.
SG Keyontae Johnson (Boo Williams)
Keyontae continues to build off the great momentum he’s carried since his team’s championship in Pittsburgh. He demonstrated the ability to consistently play above the rim on both ends of the court. He’s relentless on the boards, and won most of the 50/50 balls he was seen fighting for. With recent offers from Providence, Old Dominion, and Norfolk State, the 6-foot-4 shooting guard has been one of the biggest stock risers in his class so far this spring.
PG Donovann Toatley (DC Premier)
Donovann is an absolute blur, and there aren’t many who can beat him in a baseline-to-baseline race. What’s most impressive, however, is that he’s learning how to use his blazing speed to his advantage. Toatley is understanding how to change speeds to keep defenders off balance. He demonstrated the ability to pull-up on a dime in transition and hit accurately from mid range. His energy defensively was impressive, where he did a great job moving his feet and turning his man.
SF Jeremiah Owusu (Team Loaded)
Jeremiah brought great energy on both ends of the floor. The brawny, 6-foot-2 wing is a solid athlete and rebounder out of his position. He did a great job challenging shots by elevating and staying vertical. He mixed it up nicely on the offensive end, showcasing a soft perimeter touch along with aggressiveness off the bounce. He used a nifty floater to shoot over top of tall defenders in the paint.
SG Joe Bryant (Boo Williams)
Joe was consistently aggressive, especially on his drives to the basket. The strong, 6-foot-1 guard exhibited good body control and power when finishing around the rim. Defensively, he did an outstanding job boxing out his man and showed good fundamentals and instincts when defending both on and off the ball. He’s an underrated athlete who anticipates well and can elevate and finish in the open court.
PG Rasir Bolton (Team Loaded)
Rasir was on his game all weekend, and was an integral factor to his team making it all the way to the championship. The crafty, 6-foot-3 lead guard showed off an explosive first step and as tough to keep out of the paint. His quick release, along with his adeptness off the bounce made him a tough cover on the perimeter. Defensively, he was locked in and showed good focus and intensity on the ball. Rasir is a dynamic, mature playmaker with the ability to create for himself or his teammates. He showed why he’s considered one of the top guards in Virginia’s 2018 class.
