Oliver-Maxence Prosper (Lake Forest Academy)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #10
This 6’7” combo forward is a prospect we have only seen tape on, but came away impressed with. The Canadian forward has size, athleticism, and skill potential. This is a prospect that not many casual followers of high school basketball in the state know about, but he is definitely one of the better prospects in the class.
Chad Readey (Homewood Flossmoor)
Previous Ranking: #49
Current Ranking: #19
Readey is an interesting prospect. We liked him in the spring and then he disappeared. In the fall he was absolutely dominant at the Spartz Basketball Showcase scoring on the block, hitting face up shots, swatting everything in the paint, and rebounding at a high level. Then when we saw him during the season he didn’t play. Part of the reason for his absence during the summer was he is also a high level baseball pitcher. Still there is enough here to think he has D1 potential on the hardwood.
Luke Moustakas (Brother Rice)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #34
Moustakas is a 6’5” four man that opened our eyes with his play this season. Face up four that can stretch the floor out to three along with a consistent 15 foot shot. Rebounds well in his area.
Julian Campbell (Palatine)
Previous Ranking: #66
Current Ranking: #38
Campbell was fantastic when we saw him at the Jack Tosh Tournament. The thick bodied post is a solid area rebounder. Offensively he is actually at his best stepping out draining threes which is exactly what he did at a high level.
Daryl Reed (TF North)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #65
The 6’6” four man has a nice frame with strength and moves well for his size. Had a few big slams that he threw down with force at the Salem Invitational. Right handed hook shot could be his go to down the line. Potential to be an excellent shot blocker with his timing, length, and bounce. Solid area rebounder.
