Laurence Manning Academy 80 vs Scotland Christian (NC) 59
The Swampcats bounced back with a win in the Consolation Bracket. The Swampcats had balanced scoring throughout the day with 5 players scoring in double figures. Chase Lee and Brandon King led the way with 14 points a piece. Brewer Brunson added 13 points while Umar Lawson and Justus Boone rounded it out with 10 points a piece.
Scotland Christian Saints guard Brodie Clark left quite a impression today with 34 points in the loss. Clark was a very productive shooter and didn’t force anything. Clark scored 26 points in the opening round of the HTC classic. Clark a reclassified sophomore started his high school career at Scotland County HS before coming over to the Saints 2 years ago.
Undersized left-handed post player Seth Chavis finished with 17 points.
Socastee HS 88 vs Conway Christian 47
The Braves had little trouble with the host Eagles and cruised to the victory. The Braves led 20-17 after the 1st quarter then poured it on to the easy victory. Jonathan Wright led the Braves with 15 points, James “JJ” Jones 13 points, Marcus Moore 10 points, Zack Henderson 10 points, Kassius “Jay” Williams 9 points and Jevon Griffin 9 points.
Canion Norris led the Eagles in a losing cause with 19 points.
New Life Christian Academy (NC) 74 Cathedral Academy 32
New Life Christian Academy Monarchs improved to (6-9) on the season according to Head coach Aaron Parker. The Monarchs put 5 players in double figures in scoring. Reggie Raynor with 17 points, Reggie Walton 12 points, Jeremiah McWilliams 12 points, Phil Martin 11 points and Dashaun Jones added 10 points.
Heston Foster led the Cathedral Academy Generals with 13 points and 7 rebounds.Senior Tyler McMahon added 10 points in the loss. Senior guard John Price went down with a injury at the 1:07 mark of the 2nd quarter. Price finished with just 2 points.
Trinity-Byrnes 70 vs Oceanside Collegiate 67
This game was back and forth all night long before the Titans pulled it out. Juniors Jordan Jones and Nick Ford each dropped 18 points for the Titans in the win. Nicholas Jones finished the night with 14 points.
Shane McCravy took high game honors with 30 points for the Landsharks. Isaiah Archie went down with a concussion and didn’t return for the 2nd half.
