1.Ridge View HS (5-1)
The Blazers have a loaded roster and plenty of talent to win it again this season. The Blazers lost to Oak Hill Academy in the recent Bojangles’ Bash event. The Blazers led by Malcolm Wilson (Georgetown), Walyn Napper, Crosby Harris-James, JaVon Anderson and Javon Benson play Blythewood HS this coming Friday.
2.Westwood HS (12-0)
The Redhawks have been on fire since returning from the Bahamas to start the season. Russell Jones (Winthrop) and Ta’jay Dunlap (Southern Wesleyan) have been leading the offense for Head Coach Ty Baumgardner.
3.Lakewood HS (5-3)
The Gators lost 3 games to start the season at the Tourney of Champions in Washington, IL. Since then the Gators have defeated rival Sumter HS 69-61 and 68-61. The Gators have a a great 1-2 punch in Juwan Perdue (Jacksonville State) and Quentin Hodge.
4.Wilson HS (2-1)
The Tigers travel to Conway HS to play the Tigers tonight and look to bounce back from their only loss this season. Allen Williamson, Maine Gibson and Ziohn Brown are all providing leadership for Head Coach Derrick McQueen.
5.Greenville HS (3-1)
The Red Raiders recently knocked off Carolina HS 58-43. Malik Norris led the way with 12 points, Dorian Williams 11 points and DJ Johnson added 10 points. The Red Raiders had to cancel their showcase last weekend with Winter Storm Diego coming to the Upstate.
6.Wren HS (Piedmont) (5-0)
Bryce McGowens scored 31 points and connected on 6 three pointers vs TL Hanna HS recently.
7.Hartsville HS (2-3)
Trae Hannibal (South Carolina) signee is set to play Keenan HS this coming Saturday. The Red Foxes have lost to two out of state teams this season in Piedmont Classical (NC) and Our Savior New American (NY)
8.Darlington HS (8-1)
The Falcons have only lost to 3A power Keenan HS in the West Florence Turkey Shootout. The Falcons play in the same region with Wilson HS, Hartsville HS and Myrtle Beach HS.
9.Myrtle Beach HS (3-2)
The Seahawks suffered a loss to county rival Conway HS 77-60 recently. Emorie Knox scored 30 points in the losing effort. Knox recently recorded a triple-double vs Carolina Forest HS. The Seahawks have lost also to Cape Fear Academy out of Wilmington, NC this season.
10.Orangeburg-Wilkinson HS (4-2)
The Bruins have lost both times to Keenan HS 78-59 and 54-40 this season.
Prep Hoops has seen the following teams play so far this season: Ridge View HS, Lakewood HS, Hartsville HS, Darlington HS and Myrtle Beach HS.
