Hartsville HS vs Our Savior New American (NY)
Our Savior New American made the trip down from Centereach, NY. The Pioneers playing in their season opener had little trouble with Hartsville HS in 88-48 victory. The Pioneers were led in scoring Jonathan Kuminga (2021) with 30 points. Kuminga played last season at Huntington Prep (WV) and is the brother of Joel Ntambwe now playing at UNLV. Kuminga scored on several dunks and at times out on the floor looked bored..
Hassan Drame and Fousseyni Drame both added 16 points and 13 points respectively in the win. Hassan finished with 14 rebounds while Fousseyni gathered 12 rebounds.
Trae Hannibal a University of South Carolina Gamecock signee finished the night with 28 points for the Red Foxes. The Red Foxes fall to (2-3) on the season.
Keenan HS vs AC Flora HS
The Raiders battled back to defeat the city rival Falcons by the score of 66-57. The Raiders remain perfect on the season at (6-0). Asanti Price (2019) led the attack with 24 points on (10-13) shooting. Price recently came back after attending Combine Academy in Lincolnton, NC. Juniors Dillon Jones and Raekwon Horton both added 16 points in the win. Jones finished the evening with 13 rebounds.
Derrick “DJ” Sinkler led the Falcons with 22 points in the defeat. Sophomore guard Robert McCray added 10 points while Patrick Iriel chipped in with 8 points.
Aspire Academy (KY) vs Ridge View HS
The host Ridge View HS Blazers won the game at the buzzer 71-69. Crosby Harris-James led the way with 19 points, Walyn Napper added 16 points while Javon Benson added 15 points and 7 rebounds. Georgetown signee Malcolm Wilson finished with just 4 points but added 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. The Blazers improve to (4-0) on the season.
The Wizards from Louisville, KY were led in scoring by Ahmard Harvey with 23 points and 16 rebounds. Harvey originally hails from the Bahamas. Jihaun Westbrook a Victorville, California native scored 18 points and connected on a three pointer to tie the game with 1.6 seconds left . Arkansas State signee Caleb Fields added 14 in the loss. The Wizards fall to (6-4) on the season.
