Romello Grant – Stall HS (Charleston)
Grant plays his best basketball around the basket for the up-tempo Warriors. Grant a double-double guy last season finished with 17 points in a loss to Goose Creek HS in the championship game. Grant will more than likely have to entertain junior college options next season according to Warriors Head Coach Michael Breedlove. Grant brings a WARRIOR mentality to the floor and plays his best basketball inside the paint as a activity man.
Jalen Bailey – Stall HS (Charleston)
Bailey arrived over on Ashley Phosphate last season at Stall from Military Magnet. Bailey and Grant were both teammates there before hand. Bailey a left-handed guard can really turn the corner with the ball and has deep range shooting ability on the floor. Bailey dropped 31 points in the season opener vs Northwood Academy. Bailey will likely have to entertain junior college according to Breedlove.
Khalil Stringer – Broome HS (Spartanburg) (pictured on front)
Stringer scored 37 points for the Centurions in Day 2 of the event. Stringer 6’1 scoring guard from the Upstate. Ammons didn’t play this weekend after finishing up football Friday night in the 3rd Round of the SCHSL Playoffs. Ammons played strong safety and recorded 5 interceptions and 60 tackles this season. Ammons is a sharp shooting guard on the hardwood and will see his first action for the Hawks this coming week.
Ja-Saun Pryor – Pinewood Prep (Summerville)
Pryor will be relied on more this season for the Panthers. Pryor 6’4 rangy wing player is still a streaky shooter but at times this weekend showed more aggressive to attack the basket. Pryor must get stronger to battle through contact. Pryor scored 13 points in the loss to Porter Gaud. Pryor started off his high school career at Woodland HS.
