Contenders, Sleepers, & Prospects: North Suburban Conference
We are now in the month of November and that means the season is almost here! With that being said we are looking across the state at various conferences and previewing the teams and players to watch! Today we dive into the North Suburban Conference!
Pre-Season Player of the Year
Bryant Brown (Waukegan)
Brown is a combo forward that posted consistent numbers a year ago and this year he will be even better. His inside-outside game makes him a tough matchup for opponents. Volume rebounder and will be able to defend multiple positions. This is his year to dominate the conference.
Team to Beat
Waukegan is the preseason favorite. They are led by Bryant Brown. His is joined by Ja’Dyn Brown and Jordan Brown who both bring scoring pop on the perimeter. Transfer Andre White is a lead guard that will provide both scoring and more stability at the point.
Sleeper Team
Mundelein has a nice young duo to watch in Scotty Ebube and Conor Enright. These 2021 prospects should make some noise. Zion Benton is always a team to watch especially with the way sophomore Amar Augillard can impose his will on a game with his physicality.
