Tommy Lucca Commits to Michigan Tech
One of the best uncommitted seniors in the state of Illinois made his college decision on Wednesday afternoon. Genoa Kingston point guard Tommy Lucca informed us that he has committed to Michigan Tech. He broke down the decision.
“It was a connection with the players and staff right away for me and my family. I’ll be given a great opportunity to play at a high level. Along with the education being outstanding for me.”
How does he see his game fitting in their system?
“They think I can come in right away and lead. Be a true point guard, score, and distribute. We agreed on that. It was a big factor in my decision.”
Lucca plays the game the right way. Everything he does is crisp and with a purpose. He has a great feel for the game with his vision and distribution skills. On the travel team circuit with the Illinois Wolves he shows his pass first point guard abilities while on his high school team he does it all putting up monster scoring numbers as well as dishing the rock. Lucca can shoot it from mid-range and three with a plus looking shot.
The senior is the #16 overall player and #4 point guard in the 2016 class in Illinois.
