High School Spotlight: Yorktown Tigers

The High School Spotlight Series is back and we are excited to feature multiple teams throughout the state once again! The season is still a few months away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. For today's spotlight, we take a look at the Yorktown Tigers

Quick Hitters

Went 16-9 last season.

Lost to Delta in Sectionals

Head Coach Justin Ullom starts his 2nd year as head coach. Their top returning guy is 6'2" shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='2413945' first='Mason' last='Trammell'], who brings back 17.5 points per game from last year. Trammell is a talented wing who can score effectively both off the catch and off the dribble. A very crafty player who can impact multiple areas of the floor.

Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2418764' first='Zahden' last='Zowd']

A junior point guard who is on the rise in the in-state 2028 class is [player_tooltip player_id='2418764' first='Zahden' last='Zowd']. While he is on the shorter side at 5'10", Zowd has a really strong feel for the game and can make so many plays with the ball in his hands. He can be a facilitating playmaker or even a high-level shot-maker as well. He brings back 7.7 points per game from last year.

Other Key Roster Members

Will Kelly

Quentyn Richman

Zach Davis

[player_tooltip player_id='2416619' first='Gabe' last='Cox']

Princeton Oneal

Adam Hale

Ben Hradesky

Micah Brooks

Sam Toker

Huck Perdue
