Point Guards of Note in 2028

One of the best passers in this class, Rudder is terrific in the open floor where he plays off his burst, vision, and elite feel for the game. In the half-court, he gets to his spots, delivers passes on time and on target to his shooters, and makes great reads out of ball screens. He has good instincts defensively, hounds opposing lead guards, and can really create turnovers in the full-court. More of a scorer than his teammate above, Devine can really get buckets in the mid-range and shows the ability to keep defenders off balance as a driver. He changes speeds and directions with the ball in his hands, can play off two feet in the paint, and has touch as a scorer around the basket. The 5'9" lead guard makes the move to the prep ranks and has the chance to be a breakout performer this winter. He plays with elite change of direction, has a lot of wiggle with the ball in his hands, and repeatedly gets to his spots off the bounce. His ability to find teammates in scoring positions and to finish with touch over size in the paint also stands out. A 5'11" lefty, Brito had a standout sophomore campaign for <em>Boston English</em>, averaging over 23 points per game and almost 4 steals a game. He has the ability to whip passes all over the floor, does a great job of using screens to his advantage, and can really shoot the ball, particularly with range behind the arc. He plays with wiggle and speed and does a nice job of using his length as a finisher around the rim. A diminuative lead guard, the 5'9" lefty plays for one of the top high school programs in Rhode Island and has shown the ability to run an offense at a high level. He makes good reads out of ball screens, changes speeds off the bounce to keep defenders off balance, and has clean mechanics on his jumper. He's really good in the mid-range, particularly off the bounce and finishes with a lot of creativity around the rim.
