The GHSA Transfer Watchlist: Newcomers to Know

The GHSA landscape is shifting as a new group of transfers enters the 2026-27 season with fresh opportunities and bigger expectations. These newcomers bring different skill sets, playing styles, and levels of experience to their new programs. With new surroundings comes the chance to take on larger roles and make an immediate impact. Austin is a direct, downhill attacker who wastes little time putting pressure on the defense. He uses his left hand effectively, combines strong footwork with controlled pacing, and consistently gets himself into scoring position around the rim. His physical finishing ability makes him difficult to contain once he gets a step, making him one of the more dangerous attacking transfers in the state. Knockdown left-handed scorer with an advanced feel for the game and the versatility to impact every possession. He can control the tempo, create his own offense off the bounce, and step into difficult shots with confidence. On the defensive end, he has the toughness and awareness to take on the opponent's top assignment. His arrival adds another layer of versatility and firepower to the ELCA, giving them another piece capable of helping drive a deep postseason run. Musiq plays with a natural scoring feel, making difficult offensive actions look routine and effortless. His pull-up game is especially polished, whether it's a quick one-dribble stop, a two-dribble rise-up, or a patient isolation where he sizes up his defender before attacking. There's a clear level of repetition behind his execution, as his moves come out with consistency, confidence, and purpose. Real three-level scoring threat with a polished offensive package and excellent touch around the floor. At 6'6", his length and comfort from multiple spots allow him to create problems both inside and on the perimeter. He pairs a smooth shooting stroke with the ability to score at different levels, giving him the profile of a matchup nightmare. With continued growth, he has a legitimate chance to push his way into the state's Top 10. Relentless downhill guard who constantly keeps the defense under pressure with his attacking mindset and quick decisions. His athleticism can catch defenders off guard, especially with how smoothly he changes pace before suddenly exploding into a finish or pull-up. He thrives in transition, runs the floor hard, and embraces an up-tempo style that allows him to create scoring chances before the defense can get set. Strong-bodied, powerful prospect who may not rely on straight-line speed but makes up for it with impressive burst and physicality. His movements have become much more deliberate, allowing him to stay balanced and dictate the action rather than forcing plays. He can score from the mid-post, attack from the wing, and operate comfortably in the spaces between, giving him plenty of ways to impact the offense. A major addition for Peachtree Ridge with the versatility to become an important piece right away.
