UIndy Elite Camp | Team Grey Evaluations

The University of Indianapolis Elite Camp brought together a talented group of prospects looking to showcase their abilities in front of the Greyhounds' coaching staff. The 25 prospects in attendance were split among four teams, providing an extended look at how each player impacted the game within a team setting. Here's a breakdown of the prospects on Team Grey:    High IQ point guard that is tough as nails on the floor. [player_tooltip player_id='3177242' first='Eric' last='Scaringe'], a 5'10” true point guard from Center Grove ran the show for his team showing off his outstanding court vision and passing ability. Struggled a bit with his shot, but stayed confident and kept shooting. Active defender despite his size. Really good instincts resulting in deflections and creating turnovers. Potential breakout season coming for the 2029 prospect.     Steady combo guard that kept getting better and better as the day went on. Was excellent rebounding from the guard spot. Offensively he showed he was capable of playing on or off the ball. Heavy right hand downhill driver that plays through contact well. Had a nice last scrimmage where he put heavy pressure on the basket whether by drive or attacking the offensive glass.     High energy guard that made most of his impact on the games in the scrimmage portion at the University of Indianapolis on Sunday on the defensive side of the ball. Smaller guard in stature with good quickness that was able to pressure defensively and turn defense into offense for his team. At only 5'5”, the most impressive part of his game was surprisingly his rebounding ability. In the three scrimmages he racked up 9 rebounds. Was able to get in the lane on some occasions and create open looks for his teammates. Didn't score on the day, but still figured out a way to make an impact:     Physical wing/forward that played through a minor injury late in the day, but was really affective throughout camp with his combination of size and skill. Good mobility for his size. Showed he was able to guard basically all five positions at the high school level. Monster rebounder on both ends that did most of his damage in the paint. Strong finisher with a soft touch. Also showed he can step out and drive closeouts from the perimeter. Fluid athlete that combines physicality with finesse.     A Center Prospect that hasn't even began to scratch the surface of his potential. [player_tooltip player_id='3654569' first='Roman' last='Cross'] is a long and lanky 2029 Center out of Indianapolis Lutheran that showed some early promise as a defensive presence in the lane as a rebounder and shot blocker. Really raw offensively, but was able to get a couple putbacks and draw fouls. Intriguing prospect to watch as he continues to grow into his body and get more comfortable with the pace of the game.     Tri-West Product [player_tooltip player_id='2633744' first='Jaxon' last='Paris'] had the offense going all day at the University of Indianapolis Elite Camp. 6'2” 2027 Guard showed a complete offensive game scoring from all over the floor. Sharpshooter with deep range knows how to get himself open. Quick trigger that can keep the defense honest with his driving and playmaking ability. Does a good job turning the corner and using the angles well to get to spots. Should be in for a breakout senior season for the Bruins.
