Illinois Tune-Up: Teddy’s 2027 Point Guards

Quick crisp passes in and around the floor where he dished out plenty of assists in transition when watching him. As a defender, he defends effective belt on the ball to keep his man in front of him while sliding his feet very effectively. That showed for [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] on Thursday where he got them out of a cold sump with several contested buckets midway through the contest. As that game went on, his playmaking to get guys involved became more relevant in this matchup. But I had a blast watching him Thursday afternoon for [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package']. Against H4H, he flashed moments of excellence on the ball to break past defenders and explode to the rim. The footwork was undeniably affective throughout this game, too as it helped him in so many ways on both ends. Worked really well off screens and dished out several dimes in this contest. Showed in the opening stages against Blueprint that he can score through contact over larger defenders. Flashed his ability to shoot threes effectively late in the game vs [program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last='']. He's super lengthy but shows terrific ball-handling abilities and footwork. I love his ability to change direction with the ball and can explode down the lane. Works well making plays off screens and can even contribute off the dribble. Not afraid to let it fly from deep at any moment. I'm a big fan of his creativity with the ball as well as his ability to be an effective shooter from all three levels. Flashes tons of confidence stepping into any shot on the floor.
