He was more than comfortable playing at a fast pace. He had good positional size and versatility. Eddie could get to the rim on the break and off the dribble. He seemed very active around the bucket, even without the ball.

Fortuna played excellent basketball when I saw the Michigan Tribe team. He was leading the way for an eventual Final 4 squad. Fortuna pushed pace off the bounce and was able to attack the basket in the open floor. He even took the ball coast to coast with a righty finish. Fortuna used his instincts, hit open space, and was rewarded with an easy layup.

Johnson was an easy choice for the All-Star team. He led the way for a really skilled Kentwood Elite team. Let's start with his D. Johnson had an eye for the pass, with at least a handful of deflections over the weekend. Offensively, he could overpower opponents and get to the rim. He showed off his jumper with a pretty mid range pull up. Johnson was a high volume scorer, but a very able passer as well. In specific, he had a transition touch pass that led to an easy layup for a teammate.

You'll catch a theme with these last 2 players. When these kids hit college basketball, they'll learn that everybody can score. Show us scouts something different. That's what Suardini did. He was relied upon to be the primary ball handler, which was tough with all the fast paced play over the weekend. Suardini did a more than admirable job. He knew where the ball needed to go and he got it there. Suardini also showed that he can slow and steer opposing ball handlers. This forced the ball out of their hands and caused issues for the offense.

Like I sort of hinted at above, I'm not the kind of scout that takes pictures of scoresheets or only scouts the guys that we all know are great. Show me something different. Warczinsky did just that. He's a winner through and through. The young man plays winning basketball and makes winning plays. Warczinsky showed that he was efficient with his handles and was on time and on target hitting scorers. He showed that he can initiate an offense and reset it if needed. Just a high IQ floor general.
