Scott Hankamp | Prep Hoops Scout
You’ll catch a theme with these last 2 players. When these kids hit college basketball, they’ll learn that everybody can score. Show us scouts something different. That’s what Suardini did. He was relied upon to be the primary ball handler, which was tough with all the fast paced play over the weekend. Suardini did a more than admirable job. He knew where the ball needed to go and he got it there. Suardini also showed that he can slow and steer opposing ball handlers. This forced the ball out of their hands and caused issues for the offense.

This is a player to watch and a name to remember. Suardini really impressed me as a freshman during high school season and I think he has tremendous upside. He could end up as one of the most efficient PG’s in the state by the time it’s all said and done.

Suardini is a really talented guard that will frustrate and scare opponents for years to come. He’s easily 1 of the most high IQ players in the freshman class. That’s especially impressive and valuable as a point guard. Watch him and I’m sure you’ll come away excited about the poise and presence that he already plays with.

Clearly is one of the teammate-favorites of the Brighton squad. Playing backup lead-guard, the incoming freshman did a solid job taking care of the ball and creating driving lanes against upperclassmen all-day. And despite being undersized currently, he held his own on the defensive end. It will be interesting to see what his role will be in November amidst a solid Brighton program and how Suardini progresses throughout his freshman campaign.

In a close game, possessions become gold. And Suardini wasn’t willing to give one up. In fact, he was willing to sell out to earn an extra one. Any time there was a loose ball, Suardini was in the mix when it came down to who was getting it.

Suardini was outstanding on Saturday. His game is just well developed and mature, showing a high basketball IQ. He did a tremendous job controlling the pace and making himself comfortable with the flow of the game. Suardini, even in a showcase event, was ready and willing to swing the ball for good looks at the rim. He had a pretty pull up mid range jumper that he put off the glass.

This is a familiar name here in Michigan and he would be a great fit at the Freshman Showcase. Suardini has thr chance to be an elite guard in the class. He finds space in the open floor and beats defenders to that spot. Suardini showed excellent touch this summer when finishibg around the rim and from mid range.
