He never looks sped up.

He organizes offenses, gets teammates into sets and consistently makes the simple play instead of the flashy one.

His midrange game is solid, he’s comfortable in pick-and-roll situations and he isn’t afraid of contact around the basket.

Every team needs a steady hand.

Warczinsky provides exactly that.

Like I sort of hinted at above, I’m not the kind of scout that takes pictures of scoresheets or only scouts the guys that we all know are great. Show me something different. Warczinsky did just that. He’s a winner through and through. The young man plays winning basketball and makes winning plays. Warczinsky showed that he was efficient with his handles and was on time and on target hitting scorers. He showed that he can initiate an offense and reset it if needed. Just a high IQ floor general.

The whole Michigan Ignition team plays extremely hard and Warczinsky is no different. One of the smaller prospects on a team that has matured height and length for age. Defensively helped record multiple turnovers that led to fast break opportunities. In the half court setting shows strong feel as a passer with quality perimeter swings or making the extra needed. His activity level and willingness to make the right play while competing hard is what stood out the most throughout the game. Also helped team to a 2^nd place finish out of 70+ teams.

Lucas Warczinsky Lucas Warczinsky 5'11" | SG/PG Vestaburg | 2029 MI showed a nice scoring package. He can shoot the three off the catch, but he is also crafty when attacking downhill. Warczinsky can get to the basket or stop for a pull-up jumper, which makes him harder to guard.

The PG of this undefeated group this weekend was #33 – Lucas Warczinsky. Warczinsky might not get the glory for scoring 30 points a contest but he was crucial in starting his team’s offensive motion. Everything started with Warczinsky coming down the floor and getting everyone in the correct positions with whatever they were running. Some might not understand how important this job is but this is the type of hooper than a coach can trust in when it matters the most. The type you love to have on your roster but you hate to compete against. I see all of that in Warczinsky. He just needs to continue to progress as he gets older and he will be a name we see at the college level in some aspect in the near future.
