Paradise Valley Summer League Top Performers 5/29/26

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Wednesday 5/29/26 I was able to attend the Paradise valley summer league hosted by Paradise Valley High School.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The league is made up of some of the best programs in Arizona and will showcase a number of legit next level prospects. I viewed teams 1-2 times and picked the nine top performers I viewed on the day.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Top Performers </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/jaydon-hayes/" id="https://prephoops.com/player/jaydon-hayes/"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2386978' first='Jaydon' last='Hayes']</strong></a> - Jaydon got it done from almost every where on the floor. He played as the primary ball handler and seem to score at will. He uses his quick first step, tight handle and strength to attack hard down hill and finish strong at the rim. He will also dunk the ball down the lane with his plus athleticism. Jaydon got to his spots in the midrange and would rise up over defenders and sink a smooth looking jumper.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/donovan-palmer/" id="https://prephoops.com/player/donovan-palmer/"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2552733' first='Donovan' last='Palmer']</strong></a> - Donovan came out the gate aggressive and looked great. He was able to score off the dribble and get by weaker defenders to finish high above the rim. he would post up defenders and pin them down by the block and use a small jump hoot or a simple drop step using his elbows to seal. He is very mobile and can run the floor on the break.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/bentley-elrod/" id="https://prephoops.com/player/bentley-elrod/"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2533651' first='Bentley' last='Elrod']</strong></a> - Bentley is a smooth shooter from all over the floor with a improved off the dribble game. He has able to spot up all through the night and hit multiple catch and shoot threes. He would get more aggressive in the second half and start getting to his spots in the midrange and rise up over defenders. He is also very physical by the rim and will bully defenders by the bucket. He even had a nasty two hand poster on the break.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/garrison-bambolo/" id="https://prephoops.com/player/garrison-bambolo/"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2574815' first='Garrison' last='Bambolo']</strong></a> - Garrison came out looking very aggressive and hit big shots through out the game. He got it going from deep all game and some of them were big shots down the stretch. He was able to run the floor and score on the break and even got a two hand jam. He was able to make a big impact on the defensive end and guarded multiple positions showing off his versatility.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/linus-turner/" id="https://prephoops.com/player/linus-turner/"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3226220' first='Linus' last='Turner']</strong></a> - Linus came out on fire scoring Sunnyslope's first 8 points. He has a nice looking shot from deep and got his shot off in minimal space. He was able to handle the ball and run the offense showing promise as a lead ball handler. He plays stellar defense and was able to get multiple steals and cause jump balls. He has great lateral quickness and will cut of players trying to drive to the basket.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/jordan-cruz/" id="https://prephoops.com/player/jordan-cruz/"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2759173' first='Jordan' last='Cruz']</strong></a> - Jordan is a crafty high IQ guard that is primed for a big time sophomore year. Then lefty uses his tight handle and shiftiness to blow by defenders. He will use a floater or a finesse finish to score by the bucket. He has a sweet midrange pull up and can get going from that area un a hurry. He is a problem in the fast break and will throw a no look dime every once in a while.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/ashton-havvard/" id="https://prephoops.com/player/ashton-havvard/"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2434650' first='Ashton' last='Havvard']</strong></a> - Ashton is a good size wing with a knack for scoring. He shoots lights out from deep and can hit the three off the catch or the bounce. He will pump fake and attack the rim and use his footwork in the paint to finish at the bucket. He is also very physical in the lane and will get his shoulder in to defenders to bump them off. He is a plus athlete and will slam it on the fast break. He has good hands on defense and will get steals in the passing lanes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Malik Ayers</strong> - Malik is a super strong forward that does the dirty work for his squad. Malik looked really impressive and played a physical brand of basketball. When he attacks the lane he will jump into defenders and use his shoulders to bump them off. He is a big time rebounder for his team and will grab boards on both ends of the floor. He can guard multiple positions and will poke the wall away from ball handlers leading to fast break slams.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/zane-graham/" id="https://prephoops.com/player/zane-graham/"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2949469' first='Zane' last='Graham']</strong></a> - Zane is a star in the making and put it on display in his first summer game. With his size and skill he is a hard player to guard. He has a great handle and will use it to blow by defenders attacking their hips. He will either get to the rim or stop and pop to hit a midrange jumper. His out side shot has dramatically improved and is money of the catch.
