Expert Analysis

Ashton plays the game at his own pace. He does not get sped up by the defense and always seems to be under control. He is used as a shooter on his team that can knock down the corner 3. He can score around the rim really well with his size and athleticism. Ashton is an underrated passer and sees the court really well especially on the break. He is a solid defender and also a really good rebounder. Ashton was the 3rd leading scorer on Dysart last year and it looks like he will take a leap this year. I expect him to be a big part of Dysart’s success.

Havvard is a unique wing forward who has the strength to play inside at his size but has the skill of a guard to play on the perimeter. Ashton sees the court well and shoots the three at a high clip. He rebounds well and plays multiple positions on D. Havvard averages a Double-Double, 10 ppg and 11 rpg.

( Team Elevate 16U) Ashton played very well the couple of times that I saw him. He knocked down three-pointers consistently and hit from several spots on the floor. His quick release on his shot caught the defense off guard. Despite his offensive game, he is also a terrific passer.

While Havvard is more of a forward, his ability to leverage his strength with the handle makes him a notable scoring option for Elevate. Capable of moving his defender around from the raw strength, he is a force to defend against drives. He swatted away plenty of shots throughout this event, an impressive help side defender, particularly within the 15U division.
