Expert Analysis
Ryan Morgan | Prep Hoops Scout
Berry was one of Kennedy’s most productive low post defenders and rebounders last season, and while I still expect that kind of impact from the senior, he’s also been showing a lot of growth with the offensive side of his game. He’s a guy who can outwork guys for second-chance points, work as a screener in the pick-and-roll, but he’s looking much more at home as a wing who can beat guys into gaps and get to the rim from further out. Whether it is catching on the wing, the high post, or mid-post, he’s been showing a lot more initiative to attack off the bounce and create his own paint touches. He’s been able to capitalize on that improved slashing and add another dynamic to this talented Kennedy squad while remaining a high-level, switchable defender.

Pellum-Berry had a pretty active weekend at the showcase. Was an aggressive rebounder on both ends, showcasing his strength and motor, and made some great reads from the high post to watch lanes open up and attack. He’s a guy who will be a key rebounder and defender but his added aggression on the offensive end should help balance their attack out as well.
