Recruiting Report: Nate Duckworth (2019)
Class of 2019 Nate Duckworth is a combo guard at 6’0” that hails from Normal West. He does a nice job directing the offense with crisp passes and is definitely a vocal leader on the floor. What Duckworth does best is shoot it from the perimeter. He is a sound three point threat that can hit them both pulling up and off the catch. Shoots it with a lot of confidence. Really helped his stock late in the spring at the Show Me Showdown with the Illinois Warhawks. Duckworth is a high level D3/NAIA player.
How was the spring playing with the Illinois Warhawks?
“It has gone pretty good. We have been in a lot of competitive games. I think I have gotten a lot better both on and off the ball offensively and defensively.”
He spoke with us about his junior season at Normal West.
“It was good. It didn’t end like we would have liked too. I think overall we made a lot of progress as a team.”
What are the biggest assets he brings to the table as a prospect?
“My strengths are running the team, being a vocal leader, and my biggest strength is shooting both off the dribble and in the catch and shoot. Running the team.”
He says a pair of schools have shown early interest.
“I have heard from Loras and UW-Platteville.”
