Recruiting Report: Tujautae Williams (2019)
Class of 2019 small forward Tujautae Williams is a long and lanky wing that was a role player last year for Orr. He is primed to take over as the go to man next season. The projectable wing is smooth with the ball in his hands accelerating with ease. Rebounds well in traffic and plays above the rim finishing big slams. Underrated passer and has some potential as a perimeter shooter. If he locks in on the defensive end that could be one of his strengths. Low-major upside.
He was a key reserve in helping Orr capture a state title this past season.
“We did very good. I contributed off the bench. I brought excitement and energy which is what we needed coming off the bench.”
He took a lot from the senior leaders on last year’s squad which will help him in the future.
“I learned a lot from Ty Mosley with how he sprints out, Dannie Smith keeps his composure, how Chase Adams pushed the ball. I learned a lot from the seniors.”
The Chicago Demons 17U wing broke down his game.
“I am a slasher that is getting better at shooting the ball. I get out in transition. I think I am good in transition.”
What’s going on with recruiting?
“I recently talked to DePaul, SIU, Drake, and Missouri State. I want to get out to Missouri State. I have had nice conversations with them.”
