Intro: Nathanel Hoskins (2021)
Class of 2021 point guard Nathanael Hoskins running mate Tevin Smith at Danville gets most of the hype, but it was Hoskins that put himself on the map with his play this spring with Meanstreets 15U. The 6’2” lefty point guard is a crafty guard that handles it well and lives in the paint. He isn’t the most explosive athlete, but has a knack getting in the paint and finish with runners, floaters, layups, or mid-range pull ups. Makes some difficult shots at the rim. Look forward to continuing to track his progress.
How was his freshman season at Danville?
“It was good. I played on the JV and a little on the varsity. On the varsity we lost in the regional championship.”
Learning from the top point guard in last year’s senior class in Kendle Moore was huge for him.
“I just watched how he played and how poised he was.”
What does he think the strengths are in his game?
“I think I control the ball well and finish good.”
Nothing going on with recruiting early in the process for Hoskins.
