PH NorCal was at Napa Valley College for the Crush in the Valley Showcase on Saturday. An 8 game schedule, 6 regular high school NorCal games, and 2 prep school games featuring some of the top prospects in the country. It's alway a good thing when teams from other areas come to play in NorCal. It was a great day of basketball. A 3-Day event beginning on Friday January 23, ending on Sunday. Friday and Sunday prep school only.

Game 1) Fremont Oakland 79, Fortune Early College 36

Player of the Game: 6'9 2026 Unsigned Senior F/C [player_tooltip player_id='2415911' first='Tyreese' last='West'] from Fremont, Oakland dropped his first 5 3-pointers in the first half of a lopsided win. He's an intriguing prospect with a good upside if he continues on his current upward trend. Strengthening his body, polishing up his skills for post play. He's a legitimate 6'10 shooter from behind the 3-point line. Went 5/6 from 3, didn't play much in the second half. Late Bloomer!

Game 2) Vanden 70, Brave Christian 57

Players of the Game: 6'4 2026 Unsigned Senior Guard, [player_tooltip player_id='1703089' first='James' last='Carraway']: He's a tough minded competitor battling through injuries, still finds ways to contribute. He can handle well enough to run point if needed, he's a shooting guard that can get hot knocking down 3's, and pulling up for mid-range jumpers off the dribble, take contact on drive. He defends and rebounds. 17pts.

6'4 2027 Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2440124' first='Templeton' last='Fountaine V']: He's been steady throughout the season putting up good numbers 16.7, 5.5 scoring and rebounding. He might be under rated as a defender. He went for 21pts in an efficient way.

Game 3) Moreau Catholic 71, Clovis North 61

Players of the Game: 6'0 2027 Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2136794' first='Isaiah' last='Clendinen'] from Moreau Catholic: He's been playing good basketball this season. In a new role sort of, he's put the team on his back generating buckets in all the ways a guard can, in addition to seeing the court for good passing. A solid body, plays with balance, has quality handles. He drops short jumpers off the dribble, uses his body for strong drives into the paint, he'll knock down a rhythm 3-pointer. 25pts

6'10 2028 PF/C [player_tooltip player_id='2484296' first='Brendan' last='Williams'] from Moreau Catholic: He picked up POG at MLK last week. He shared it this week with his teammate. He's established himself as the top ranked big in the NorCal 2028 Class. He's about to get attention beyond NorCal. His numbers at this event: 23-points, 18-rebounds, 5-blocks. He's got work to do against stronger players his size.

Game 4) Southeastern Prep 62, DNA Prep 45

Player of the Game: CJ Rosser listed as a 6'9 2027 guard. He's a multi-positional prospect with the tools to effect the game at this level anywhere on the court. He's a top prospect nationally ranked in the top 5 of his class #2. He dropped long 3's, used his dribble for short jumpers. He's an excellent court runner finishing with dunks. He rebounds, scored 22-points, gabbed 7-rebounds.

Game 5: Archbishop Riordan 64, Modesto Christian 58

Player of the Game: 6'4 Guard, USF Commit [player_tooltip player_id='1702936' first='Andrew' last='Hilman'] from Archbishop Riordan: He was content early in the game passing, playing good defense and helping with rebounds. He showed why he's a DI prospect headed to USF. In the 4th quarter he stepped up big scoring 10 of his 21pt, grabbed key rebounds. 21 points 10 rebounds, 3 steals.

Game 6) Prolific Prep 69, Bella Vista Prep 61

Player of the Game: 6'4 2026 Guard Caleb Holt top 5 in the country from Prolific Prep (FL) with a body thats college ready and skills to go with it. He makes it look easy at times. It was our first look since USA Camp in Colorado. He can score when he wants to, control the pace of the game with ball in hand. He starts the offense when he rebounds the ball, then heads up court controlled, usually makes the right decision, score pass, or set it. 19pts, 9rebs.

Game 7) St. Joseph, From Santa Maria 67, Salesian College Prep 63

Player of the Game : [player_tooltip player_id='1956462' first='Julius' last='Price'] 6'3 Guard, Stanford Commit was POG at MLK last week. He scored 24pts efficient points in this game. He let us know he's not just an offensive player, but can defend as well.

Game 8) St John Bosco 61, St. Mary's, Albany 40

Player of the Game: 6'5 2026 G/F [player_tooltip player_id='2425657' first='Tariq' last='Iscandari'] from St John Bosco played a good all around game. He's a strong player with the body to handle the rough stuff inside. He makes his own contact working inside for rebounds, and scoring. He went up for multiple power dunks off two feet under the rim. He has good rise on the 3-point jump shot knocking a few around the perimeter. 17pts
