Bash in the Desert Day 1: Top Posts Part 2
Davison Bradford 7’0 C 2020 Hillcrest Prep (Team Inspire)
Bradford is the most polished big in the event. He is long, strong, and patient on the block. Further, he has good footwork and a soft touch around the rim. He also is explosive and has a good motor. Moreover, he showed that he has a capable mid-range jumper and sees the floor fairly well.
Hunter Ruck 6’8 C 2020 Rancho Solano (Powerhouse)
Ruck is one of the most fundamentally sound big men in the state regardless of classification. He has good footwork, and he is a capable shooter with range that is continuing to extend. In addition to being solid skill wise, he has put on a lot of productive weight. He is looking the part more and more. His strength has aided him in being more aggressive on the block and being willing to compete for space offensively as well as defensively.
DeAndre Henry 6’7 PF 2020 Moutain Pointe (Team Harden)
Henry is in better basketball shape and has improved his footwork as well as stamina. His ability to get up and down the court in addition to providing a strong and wide body has made him a huge asset to Team Harden. Moreover, he has soft hands and has improved his ability to finish around the rim. Even more scary, he is beginning to understand angles of the game more and more. His upside is very high.
Jalen Graham 6’9 C 2019 Mountain Pointe (Grassroots AZ)
Graham is a big time prospect who has played big minutes and been productive on the EYBL. In state, he is participating with Grassroots AZ. He is getting more and more polished as well as physical. His mid-range jumper is improving and he always seems to find a way to end up with the basketball. He has a great motor and does not back down from opposing teams who try to be physical with him. Further, he makes good decisions with the basketball.
Dhol Majak 6’10 C 2018 Ironwood (AZ Hype)
Majak played really well in spurts for the Hype today. He shot the basketball well from deep, was active on the glass, and protected the paint well. While he is still raw, he demonstrated that he will make his potential suitor extremely happy as long as they are willing to put effort into developing him. He has a great motor and works hard on both ends of the floor.
