Collegiate put on a clinic Tuesday night. They rolled past Fork Union 71–25. The game was decided early and controlled throughout. From the opening tip, Collegiate's pace, ball movement, and shot-making separated them. They played the type of connected, unselfish basketball. This style has become their calling card this season.

The Cougars are as good a shooting team as you'll find in the area. What really stands out is how well they play together. Every possession had purpose — quick ball reversals, extra passes, and players relocating without the ball to create clean looks. That team-first approach led to a steady stream of open shots and easy baskets. Once Collegiate got rolling, the margin only continued to grow.

Credit also goes to Coach Leonardelli and his staff. They have this group playing a great brand of basketball. This style is built on teamwork, spacing, and trust. Collegiate consistently plays to its strengths, using its versatility across the lineup to create mismatches and keep defenses off balance. With so much young talent already producing, this is a program that is only scratching the surface. Expect Collegiate to be a team no one wants to see on their schedule. This group will continue to grow. They will make major jumps across the board for years to come.

Chason Beggerow (6'1, G, 2028) was a big reason for that offensive flow. He once again demonstrated why he's one of the more dangerous young shooters in the program. Beggerow is lights out when his feet are set. His quick readiness off the catch makes him tough to close out. He also demonstrated craft off the bounce. He used his handle to create just enough space. This allowed him to get into his pull-up or find a teammate when help came.

Running the show was Danny Mooney (5'11, PG, 2028), the clear heartbeat of the Collegiate offense. Mooney does an excellent job setting the tone with his pace and poise. He consistently put the defense in tough spots with his change of speed. He can quickly score as a shooter. His value truly lies in how skillfully he finds his spots, especially in the mid-lane area. His floater is a reliable weapon there. He kept the ball moving, got others involved, and picked his moments to score.

Inside, Henry Broast (6'1, F, 2026) gave Collegiate a physical presence that FUMA struggled to match. Broast was relentless on the glass, routinely creating second-chance opportunities and cleaning up misses. He finished well around the rim and used his athleticism to make an impact on both ends. With his motor and physicality, he finds ways to be productive. He doesn't need plays run for him. He just finds a way to make winning plays.

Sam Settar (6'0, G, 2027) was another steady two-way contributor who did a little bit of everything. Settar is a very athletic two-guard. He knocked down shots from deep when his feet were set. His impact went far beyond scoring. He played hard on both ends, rebounded his position well, and consistently made the right reads. Defensively, he was excellent on the ball, applying pressure and forcing tough possessions. His hustle and versatility make him a coach's dream and a glue guy every team needs.

By the final horn, Collegiate had left no doubt, showcasing not only their talent but their chemistry. When a team shoots it this well and shares it this willingly, it's a tough matchup for anyone. Tuesday night was a strong statement from a Collegiate group that continues to trend in the right direction.
